Fawn Mckay

Fawn McKay was born in Ogden Utah on September 15 1915. Fawn MCKAY, born into the Mormon Church's First Family, employed her creative talents and skills in researching to produce the intriguing biographical psycho-historical study of Joseph Smith. Published in 1945 under the title No Man is a Master of My History, she used both. This title is taken from the funeral sermon given by Joseph Smith, creator of the Church of Latter-Day Saints. His audience was shocked by his saying: "You don't even know my name. There is no way to know my feelings." There is no one who has ever heard of my life. It's impossible to tell. I wrote the 29-year-old Fawn: Since this moment of honesty, more than three writers have picked up the challenge. Many have abhorred him and others have deified. There are a few who have come to the diagnosis. The documents are not there, but that they are so contradictory. To assemble the documents -in order to distinguish first-hand stories from plagiarism by third parties, and finally, to put Mormon and non Mormon accounts together into a reliable mosaic isn't an easy job.
