Dolly-Parton
Dolly Parton escaped the struggles of her life early on by using her creative and imaginative imagination. Before she learned to write and read, she had already composed her own songs. Her first guitar purchase came at age 8 and started performing on an Knoxville Tenn radio station at the age of eleven. The same year she released her debut recording for Gold Band Records a tiny independent label. Even though she was still at school, she already made a name of herself in the local music scene. But her dream was to to play on a bigger size. In the exact day that she graduated high school, it was 1964. Dumb Blonde (both 1967) and Something Fishy were among her first Monument Records chart-topping records. Porter Wagoner began looking for female singers to join his TV show syndicated by a network at around the same at the same time. Parton was hired in 1967 she signed with RCA Records by 1968, and was a part of the Grand Ole Opry. Then, in 1974, she left Wagoner's Show because the success of her singles like Joshua Coats Of Many Colors or Jolene was outstripping their joint releases. The song by Parton, I Will Never Have Love for You (for Wagoner), was able to reach the number. #1 spot following their split. This was the first time that a song hit the top spot.
