Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington, a Greek American businesswoman and syndicated journalist is also an author. She's the co-founder and director of Thrive Global, as well as the author of 15 books. Arianna Huffington is an independent liberal news site has a TV personality an author and charity donor. Originating from Greece she moved to England at the age of 16 and graduated from Cambridge University with an MA in Economics. As the first non-English speaking student to graduate, she was voted president of The Cambridge Union' at the age of 21. Then she became a conservative syndicated writer after graduation and, with The Huffington Post launched a year after, she created an online platform for voice that offered criticisms on political scenarios. Arianna was able to attract many prominent contributors to share their opinions on culture and politics. Arianna became famous in 2003 when she decided to stand as independently in the California recall election to replace the Governor Davis. In addition to this, she led the Detroit Project for efficient vehicles that use less fuel. Forbes listed her as the 12th most influential woman in media in 2009, and Guardian added her to the list of Top 100 media in that same year. In 2011, AOL Inc. acquired The Huffington Post and made the president of that media company, which also included a number of then-existing AOL properties, including Engadget AOL music Style list as well as Patch Media. Elli is the child of Konstantinos journalist, who was also a business consultant. Although she was close with her father it was the relationship she shared with her mother that shaped her character. In her earliest years she showed the leadership abilities for which she is now well-known. After the 16th year of her life she began her study with her native United Kingdom at Girton College Cambridge. In her college years she joined Cambridge Union. Cambridge Union debating group where she was elected the first female president and only president from outside the country. In 1972she received an MA in Economics. She worked as a music critic, a TV host and columnist upon her graduation. Her appearance on Face the music with Bernard Levin was also noteworthy. She began writing books after obtaining his assistance for editing.
